2026 US Embedded Industrial Design Internship
Axon is seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. As an intern, you will collaborate with experienced designers to develop innovative solutions for public safety products. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects within a company dedicated to protecting life.
In this position, you will be responsible for owning and driving the development of product features from concept to completion. Your daily activities will include participating in design reviews, brainstorming new concepts, and ensuring that your work meets high standards for quality and performance. Additionally, you will have the chance to engage in on-site agency visits, including ride-alongs, to gain firsthand insights into the end-user experience.
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate student entering their senior year, pursuing a degree in Industrial Design. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with at least one completed CAD course, is required. Familiarity with 3D printing, hand tool prototyping, and effective communication and collaboration skills are essential. Alignment with Axon's company values is also expected.
This internship offers a competitive hourly wage of $35. The program is designed to last 12 weeks, with start dates on either May 27, 2026, or June 9, 2026, and end dates on August 21, 2026, or September 5, 2026. Interns will work on a hybrid schedule, with in-person collaboration at our Scottsdale office from Tuesday through Friday and the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays.
