Site Reliability Engineer II
Axon is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our SRE organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering solutions to real-time challenges faced by our mission-critical cloud-native services, ensuring the high quality and reliability our customers expect. Your contributions will extend across the engineering organization, enabling product teams to continuously deliver innovative features.
As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will build robust, user-friendly foundational platforms and tools that allow engineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, securely, and cost-effectively. You will exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices, write performant and maintainable code, and employ strong problem-solving skills to debug issues in cloud-native distributed systems. Additionally, you will influence and educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns and provide comprehensive documentation to promote self-service among engineers.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant experience, including managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar. Proficiency in managed languages like Python, Go, C#, or Java is required, along with experience operating in Kubernetes platforms like AKS or EKS. Familiarity with CI/CD platforms for automating infrastructure provisioning, software builds, tests, and releases is essential. Experience with observability tools such as APM, logging, and metrics to assist with debugging issues is also necessary.
