Senior Software Engineer, Prepared
Axon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Prepared team, focusing on enhancing AI-powered emergency communication systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to a growing engineering team dedicated to transforming 911 services through innovative technology.
The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement new user-facing features and products. Responsibilities include improving the availability and reliability of backend systems, refining engineering processes and tools, and mentoring less experienced engineers. Occasional travel may be required to support customer deployments and onsite implementations.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of software engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in or eagerness to learn Ruby on Rails and Golang is essential, along with experience in large-scale distributed systems. A desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment and strong communication skills are also important.
Axon offers a competitive salary, with base pay ranging from $141,000 to $216,600, depending on geographic market and other factors.
