The Account Director at Accela will lead sales strategies within the Southern California territory, focusing on expanding the company's presence and fostering client relationships. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sales initiatives and achieve business objectives. The Account Director will work closely with customers and prospects to develop tailored solutions that meet their needs, guiding them through the sales process.

Key responsibilities include managing and growing key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships. The Account Director will identify and pursue new business opportunities with top prospects, develop and execute strategic account plans to meet sales targets, and maintain a consistent pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual quotas. Additionally, the role involves upselling and cross-selling Accela's solutions into new departments, building relationships with key decision-makers, and contributing to RFP responses.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years of sales experience with enterprise software is required, along with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts. The role demands strategic thinking, data analysis skills, and the ability to identify growth opportunities. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as well as proficiency with CRM software and sales tools. The position requires the ability to travel in excess of 50%.

The annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $120,000 to $150,000, with eligibility for commissions.
