Account Executive
The Account Executive will be an integral member of a cross-functional regional sales team, working closely with Account Directors to manage the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, closing deals, and maintaining and expanding mid-sized opportunities. This role is remote-based, covering the Northern California/Nevada region, and offers the opportunity to contribute to Accela's mission of delivering government software solutions that improve efficiency and citizen engagement.
Key responsibilities include managing the full sales cycle for mid-size opportunities, maintaining and growing revenue from existing and prospective customers by selling and cross-selling solutions into new departments, and developing strong relationships with key decision-makers. The Account Executive will also collaborate with Account Directors to develop and execute sales strategies, identify customer needs to tailor solutions, maintain accurate records in the CRM system, lead and contribute to RFP responses, and meet annual sales targets.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with 2-4 years of sales experience, preferably with enterprise software. Candidates should have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, a strong sense of urgency and accountability, proficiency with CRM software and sales tools, and the ability to travel in excess of 50%.
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $120,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus based on company and individual goal achievement.
