As an Account Executive for Air products at Axon, you will collaborate closely with the Key Account Leader to engage with law enforcement agencies, facilitating the deployment of drone, counter-drone, and Drone as First Responder (DFR) solutions. This role positions you as a strategic advisor to senior public safety leaders, managing critical partnerships, including Axon's collaboration with Skydio, to deliver integrated, real-time operational outcomes. This position offers significant autonomy and cross-functional influence, contributing to the expansion of one of Axon's most strategic public safety initiatives.

In this role, you will develop a deep technical understanding of Axon's Air products to effectively sell to domestic law enforcement agencies within your assigned territory. Responsibilities include partnering with the broader Axon sales team as a functional expert on the Air program, generating leads through various sources, and pursuing opportunities. You will focus on understanding the customer's business and workflows, establishing relationships to drive overall customer satisfaction, and executing account strategies in collaboration with the team to deliver impactful value propositions. Additionally, you will manage account forecasts, update management on account statuses, collect intelligence on competitor activity, and provide feedback to marketing for continual improvement. Tracking customer activity in Salesforce and other internal systems to execute account strategies and identify additional opportunities is also essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent applicable experience, with over five years in a SaaS Account Executive role. Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems, along with strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, is required. Exceptional organizational and presentation skills are essential. The role demands a willingness to travel 60% or more within the territory, including overnight stays. A strong understanding of drones, cloud, and virtualization technology is crucial. The candidate should be adept at strategically approaching and winning accounts, as well as expanding existing accounts. A collaborative team player who supports teammates to achieve success is highly valued. Experience in a solutions or consultative sales process, end-to-end sales process expertise, and the ability to work entrepreneurially within a new initiative are important. Startup experience and specific vertical experience are advantageous. A desire to make a societal impact and grow within the organization is essential.
