Account Executive
The Account Executive, also known as a Strategic Growth Manager, plays a pivotal role in Compass's Strategic Growth team, which is central to the company's market expansion efforts. This position is fully onsite at the San Diego Mission Valley Office, with a significant portion of time dedicated to meeting clients and prospects in the field. Compass, founded in 2012, is revolutionizing the real estate industry by providing an end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to their clients.
In this role, the primary responsibility is to drive net-new revenue by effectively selling the Compass value proposition, which encompasses technology, marketing, culture, and growth opportunities. The Account Executive is tasked with influencing top-producing agents to transition from their current brokerages to Compass, highlighting the benefits and support that Compass offers to enhance their business and client services.
Key responsibilities include meeting quarterly quotas by successfully bringing principal agents to Compass, with deal sizes ranging from $200,000 to over $3 million and an average closing time of approximately 30 days. The role requires a humanized sales approach, engaging directly with decision-makers, and necessitates a high degree of empathy, patience, and agility to navigate the complexities of agents' transitions from long-standing affiliations.
The ideal candidate holds a B.A. or B.S. degree with over five years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to solve complex problems independently are essential. Excellent communication skills are required to lead client meetings and presentations effectively, along with exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. A proven track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail-oriented responsibilities is highly valued.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $110,000 annually, with a potential bonus target of $30,000 to $60,000, and additional performance-based incentives. Restricted stock units may also be provided, along with a comprehensive range of benefits. Base pay is determined based on market location and individual qualifications.
