As an Account Executive – Mid City (Acquisition) at Axon, you will be responsible for acquiring new law enforcement customers within a defined territory. This role is designed for proactive individuals who excel at initiating contact, creating urgency, and closing deals with first-time Axon clients. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting to closing, with a strong emphasis on outbound activities, field engagement, and promoting the adoption of Axon's comprehensive ecosystem.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing a territory acquisition plan focused on outbound prospecting, converting inbound leads, and engaging in field-based selling. You will build relationships with key stakeholders such as chiefs, command staff, IT personnel, procurement officers, and city officials. Additionally, you will deliver compelling demonstrations of Axon's integrated hardware, software, and services, navigate complex sales cycles involving competitive displacement and formal procurement processes, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with at least three years of full-cycle sales experience demonstrating success in acquiring new clients. Proven skills in outbound prospecting, pipeline creation, and field sales with frequent in-person customer engagement are essential. Experience in closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and selling SaaS solutions is preferred. Strong CRM discipline, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a high level of autonomy and resilience are also required.
