Account Executive, Mid City
As an Account Executive – Mid City (Acquisition) at Axon, you will be responsible for acquiring new law enforcement customers within a designated territory. This role is ideal for proactive individuals who excel at initiating contact, creating urgency, and closing deals with first-time Axon clients. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting to finalizing agreements, with a strong emphasis on outbound activities, field engagement, and promoting the adoption of Axon's comprehensive ecosystem.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing a territory acquisition plan focused on outbound prospecting, converting inbound leads, and conducting field-based sales. You will build relationships with key stakeholders such as chiefs, command staff, IT personnel, procurement officers, and city officials. Additionally, you will deliver compelling demonstrations of Axon's platform through various channels, position Axon's integrated hardware, software, and services as transformative solutions for new agencies, and navigate complex sales cycles involving competitive displacement and formal procurement processes.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with at least three years of full-cycle sales experience demonstrating success in acquiring new clients. Proven skills in outbound prospecting and pipeline creation are essential, as is field sales experience with frequent in-person customer engagement. A track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals is important, and experience selling SaaS solutions is preferred. Strong CRM discipline, particularly with Salesforce, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a high degree of autonomy and resilience are also required.
Axon offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $58,500 to $93,600, depending on geographic location and experience. The role also features uncapped commissions, with a national target of $140,000.
