Account Executive, Small City (Boston)
As an Account Executive, Small City at Axon, you will manage the full sales cycle for law enforcement agencies with 16–40 sworn officers. This role involves building trusted, long-term customer relationships and directly supporting agencies in adopting Axon’s technology to protect officers, strengthen communities, and save lives. Your primary responsibilities include owning the entire sales cycle for a defined territory, from prospecting and discovery through close and expansion. You will manage a book of business focused on small city law enforcement agencies, drive pipeline through a balanced mix of outbound prospecting and inbound opportunities, and build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Additionally, you will deliver tailored product demonstrations via phone, web conferencing, and onsite visits, sell Axon’s full ecosystem of hardware, software, and service solutions, and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including renewals and upsells. Maintaining accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking in Salesforce, as well as participating in ongoing training to deepen product, industry, and competitive expertise, are also key aspects of the role. Travel to client sites, conferences, and roadshows as needed (up to 20%) is expected.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 2–3 years of full-cycle sales experience, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing. Proven success in a quota-carrying, commission-driven role, experience managing multiple accounts and longer sales cycles, and strong CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) are essential. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment, strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills, and being coachable, collaborative, and motivated by results are also important qualifications.
Axon offers a competitive base pay range of $58,500 - $93,600 USD, with significant commission upside.
