The Account Executive role at Celonis focuses on expanding the company's presence within the State and Local Government sectors in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. In this position, the Account Executive is responsible for discovering and cultivating new business opportunities within a designated set of accounts. This involves establishing and strengthening relationships with executives and decision-makers to understand their strategic and operational needs. The role requires guiding the sales process from prospecting and initial contact through qualification, client engagement, needs analysis, solution proposal, and closing deals. Additionally, the Account Executive collaborates with Value Engineering to deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations, showcasing the value of Celonis solutions. Building strong partnerships with leading consulting firms, SaaS partners, and the Big Four is also a key aspect of the role.

Candidates should have over eight years of demonstrated success in Software as a Service (SaaS) sales, with at least five years of experience selling into State and Local Government. A proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers is essential. The role requires a track record of selling enterprise-level software applications to C-level stakeholders, along with strong business acumen and a solid understanding of business processes and key performance indicators, particularly in areas such as Finance and Supply Chain. Experience collaborating with partners, such as consulting firms or providers of enterprise technology solutions, is also important.
