AI Engineer - Paige

Pave is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Paige team, focusing on developing an agentic system that leverages the company's extensive compensation dataset and workflow engine. This role involves collaborating with engineers and data scientists to build and launch the product, requiring deep AI expertise and a proactive approach.

Key responsibilities include shaping the technical vision and execution of Paige, developing autonomous agents capable of reasoning over structured compensation data, and implementing multi-step workflows such as market pricing and attrition analysis. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in building production systems, with hands-on expertise in large language models (LLMs), agentic architectures, and retrieval systems. Strong product instincts, experience in fast-paced environments, and effective communication skills are essential. A high level of ownership and a bias toward action are also important.
