Pave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Data Platform team, which is responsible for the data infrastructure connecting Pave's platform to various HRIS, EMS, ATS, and partner systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and quality of integrations that power customers' compensation workflows. As a founding engineer on the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the platform's evolution, prioritize developments, and influence the engineering culture from the outset.

In this position, you will design and build new integrations with enterprise-grade systems such as Workday, BambooHR, and ADP. You will own these integrations end-to-end, from connector design and data mapping through testing, rollout, and ongoing reliability. Additionally, you will develop and enhance observability tools, including monitoring, alerting, and debugging infrastructure, to ensure pipeline health. Collaboration with product and go-to-market teams will be essential to prioritize connector coverage and support key deals. Identifying and addressing systemic reliability and scalability issues within Pave’s data platform will also be a critical aspect of your role.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in building and deploying production-grade software, with significant exposure to integrations, data pipelines, or API platforms. A strong understanding of integration patterns, API design, and the operational challenges associated with third-party data dependencies is essential. Experience working on enterprise B2B products and familiarity with their reliability and data quality standards are required. The ability to lead technical projects amidst ambiguity, especially when dealing with poorly documented third-party APIs and shifting requirements, is crucial. An execution-oriented mindset, with a willingness to design solutions and implement them to achieve reliable, monitored production states, is highly valued. Proficiency with Pave's tech stack, including TypeScript, Node.js, React, and GCP, is preferred.

Pave offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes meaningful equity, flexible PTO, and region-specific benefits tailored to support your life and role. The company provides private health coverage, a monthly wellness stipend, life and disability protection, a quarterly education stipend, and monthly retirement contributions. These benefits are designed to promote personal well-being and professional growth.

Joining Pave means becoming part of a company dedicated to building the industry's leading compensation platform, trusted by over 8,500 companies, including top-tier organizations like OpenAI, McDonald’s, and Stripe. Pave's mission is to perfect the art and science of pay, providing unparalleled confidence in compensation decisions. The company fosters a culture of growth, where roles expand, responsibilities deepen, and compensation reflects the impact of your contributions.
