Senior Software Engineer - Communicate
The Senior Software Engineer position on the Communicate team at Pave involves developing products that enable companies to communicate compensation with clarity and transparency. As a founding engineer on this high-impact team, you will shape the roadmap, influence technical direction, and establish the engineering culture from the ground up. Pave is a leading compensation platform, serving over 8,500 companies, including top-tier organizations like OpenAI, McDonald's, and Stripe.
In this role, you will build end-to-end product experiences that help companies communicate compensation to employees and candidates. You will design products that perform reliably for organizations with over 150,000 employees and develop AI-powered compensation intelligence features to assist leaders in making better pay decisions. Additionally, you will define the technical architecture, engineering patterns, testing practices, and quality standards for the team.
The ideal candidate has over 5 years of full-stack experience building customer-facing web applications. Strong product instincts and the ability to translate product requirements into thoughtful technical decisions are essential. A high bar for engineering quality, testing, and reliability is expected, along with collaborative technical leadership skills to work effectively across Engineering, Product, and Design teams. Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and GCP is required.
