The Senior Software Engineer - Core Platform role at Pave is integral to the company's engineering team, focusing on building foundational services, APIs, and abstractions that enable the delivery of enterprise-grade software. The Core Platform team bridges product and platform engineering, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across Pave's offerings.
In this position, the engineer will own critical services such as user authentication and authorization, as well as the foundational data infrastructure and models that power Pave's compensation intelligence platform. The role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions that address cross-product challenges, collaborating with various teams to enhance the entire compensation lifecycle, and driving large, complex initiatives across the organization.
Candidates should have over five years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building data-intensive applications using modern web technologies like TypeScript and Node.js. A strong product intuition is essential, with the ability to design generalized platform solutions that solve cross-product challenges. Hands-on experience with data infrastructure, data pipelines/ETLs, and data modeling is required, with ML/AI platform experience considered a plus. Experience leading large technical projects with high ambiguity and numerous stakeholders is also necessary.
Pave offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes equity, top-notch medical, dental, and vision coverage, and an unlimited PTO policy. The targeted cash compensation for this position ranges from $195,500 to $264,500, depending on experience and performance in the interview process.
