Android Engineer II/ Senior
As an Android Engineer II/Senior at Axon, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our suite of mobile applications, including Axon App, View, and Capture. These applications are integral to our Digital Evidence Management Systems, facilitating efficient evidence acquisition and management for law enforcement agencies. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through innovative technology solutions that support public safety professionals.
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain features within our Android applications and related shared libraries. Collaborating closely with the Mobile Scrum teams, you will ensure the successful achievement of sprint goals and work with cross-functional groups to deliver products that meet user needs. Your responsibilities will also include setting high technical standards through code and design reviews and investigating optimal solutions to complex problems.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with over 5 years of experience in shipping world-class Android applications. Proficiency in Kotlin and Java is essential, along with a strong track record of delivering high-quality code on schedule. Experience with modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI, and familiarity with Android frameworks related to networking, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, audio, video, and photo functionalities are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and experience with CI/CD automation and integration are also important.
