Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Store Manager at PLS plays a pivotal role in ensuring the store delivers exceptional customer service, meets operational objectives, and adheres to company policies. This position involves leading the store team, supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, and stepping in to direct activities in the Store Manager's absence. PLS, a leading retail provider of financial services, operates over 200 financial service centers across 12 states, offering convenient products to help customers manage their financial needs.
Key responsibilities include maintaining exemplary customer service, building strong customer relationships, and fostering a customer-centric culture within the store. The Assistant Store Manager assists in implementing strategies to achieve store goals, recruits and develops team members, ensures compliance with regulations, and performs duties of a Customer Service Representative when necessary. Additional tasks involve analyzing financial statements to maximize sales, marketing within the community, resolving customer complaints, managing schedules and audits, and maintaining a clean store environment.
Candidates should have at least one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurants. The role requires strong customer engagement skills, the ability to build positive relationships, a desire to exceed company initiatives, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a high-energy, collaborative management style. Professional appearance and integrity are essential, along with flexibility to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. English fluency is required, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
