Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Store Manager at PLS plays a pivotal role in ensuring the store delivers outstanding customer service, meets operational objectives, and adheres to company policies. This position involves leading the store team, supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, and stepping in to direct activities in the Store Manager's absence. PLS, a leading retail provider of financial services, operates over 200 financial service centers across 12 states, offering consumers convenient financial products to manage their day-to-day needs.
Key responsibilities include maintaining exemplary customer service, building strong customer relationships, and fostering a customer-centric culture within the store. The Assistant Store Manager assists in implementing strategies to achieve store goals, recruits and develops team members, ensures compliance with regulations, and analyzes financial statements to maximize sales. Additional duties encompass marketing within the community, resolving customer complaints, managing schedules, overseeing cash handling procedures, and maintaining a clean store environment.
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurants. Essential skills include the ability to engage with customers confidently, develop positive relationships, and inspire excellence within a team. Strong communication and presentation skills, a high-energy and collaborative management style, professional appearance and demeanor, integrity, and flexibility to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, are also required. English fluency is mandatory, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
