Associate Director Site Selection
As the Associate Director of Site Selection at AirTrunk, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and acquiring strategic data center sites across Japan. Reporting to the Senior Director of Real Estate, you will be part of a dynamic team driving AirTrunk's rapid expansion in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. This position offers the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and contribute significantly to the company's growth trajectory.
Your primary responsibilities will include originating and executing multiple real estate transactions simultaneously, building and maintaining relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, and government agencies to source and evaluate potential sites, and proactively identifying and cultivating proprietary development opportunities. Additionally, you will conduct market research and opportunity mapping to identify strategic expansion opportunities across Japan, collaborating with the Data Strategy team to assess priority locations.
To excel in this role, you should have over eight years of experience in the real estate sector, with exposure to site selection, acquisitions, or related business development activities. Experience in industrial real estate, data centers, energy, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous but not mandatory. Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and at least intermediate English communication skills are required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments and strong analytical and quantitative skills are also essential.
