As the Associate Principal in the Customer Design & Innovation team at AirTrunk, you will lead the architecture and master planning efforts for our hyperscale data centre developments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Architecture based in Sydney, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable design solutions that meet the needs of our clients across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing comprehensive site plans, building massing, and conceptual designs for proposed sites, ranging from macro to micro master planning scales. You will act as the lead architect, managing and coordinating external design consultants such as architects, landscape architects, town planners, and engineers to ensure cohesive project execution. Additionally, you will serve as a vital link between internal stakeholders, including Customer Solutions, Design & Innovation, Development, and Operations teams, to align project objectives and deliverables.

To excel in this role, you should be a registered architect with over 10 years of experience in architecture and design management, particularly in complex, service-intensive projects like data centres or mission-critical facilities. A bachelor's degree in architecture or architectural engineering is preferred. Proficiency in both Japanese and English, strong communication and presentation skills, and expertise in software tools such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD are essential. Familiarity with national construction codes and MEP design coordination will also be advantageous.
