Square is seeking a high-energy, motivated professional to join our Sales Development organization as a Business Development Representative Associate in New York City. This role is integral to our mission of economic empowerment, helping businesses of all sizes thrive by providing innovative financial solutions. As part of the Restaurant or Generalist team, you will play a crucial role in expanding Square's reach and impact.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing a diverse pipeline of prospective businesses, prioritizing outreach to accelerate sales cycles. Your day-to-day activities will include reaching out to businesses through cold calling, emailing, and social selling, promoting the value of Square's products and services. You will identify challenges faced by businesses and provide targeted solutions, documenting and tracking qualified opportunities to pass onto the Account Executive team.

The ideal candidate has a strong desire to grow their career in sales, with a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Key qualifications include personal leadership, authenticity, teamwork, energy, and curiosity. Enthusiasm for developing sales skills through cold calling and comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential. Residence within 50 miles of the New York City office is required.
