Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative (Strategic Growth Partner) at Compass plays a pivotal role within the Strategic Growth team, which serves as the company's primary driver for market expansion. This position is integral to educating the Compass Agent Community about the significance of contributing to the company's strategic growth initiatives. The role is based fully on-site in the Fort Worth office.
Key responsibilities include generating new business opportunities to build the sales pipeline through both inbound and outbound efforts. This involves direct outreach to prospective agents via cold calls, texts, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, and LinkedIn campaigns. The representative will articulate Compass's value proposition, handle objections to create qualified opportunities, and collaborate closely with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies. Maintaining accurate data management within the CRM and driving active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications are also essential duties.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and have at least two years of relevant experience, such as in sales development, customer success, direct sales, or account management. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to solve complex problems without direct supervision are crucial. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities to handle multiple deadlines, and a proven track record of excellence across strategic and operational responsibilities are also required.
The base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with potential variations based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package may include bonuses, restricted stock units, and a comprehensive range of benefits.
