Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative (Strategic Growth Partner) at Compass plays a pivotal role in expanding the company's market presence by generating new business opportunities. This position is integral to the Strategic Growth team, which serves as the company's front line in market expansion efforts. Compass, established in 2012, is transforming the real estate industry with its comprehensive platform that enables residential real estate agents to provide exceptional service to their clients.
Key responsibilities include identifying and engaging prospective agents through various outreach methods such as cold calls, emails, and integrated marketing campaigns. The role involves articulating Compass's value proposition, handling objections, and creating qualified opportunities within the market. Collaboration with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders is essential to develop effective prospecting strategies. Maintaining accurate records of all activities within the CRM system and driving active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications are also critical components of the role.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and have at least two years of relevant experience, such as in sales development, customer success, direct sales, or account management. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to solve complex problems independently are essential. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proven track record of excellence in strategic and operational responsibilities are also required.
The compensation for this position includes a base pay range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units as part of the package.
