Chief of Staff
LaunchDarkly is seeking a Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) during a period of significant growth. This senior individual contributor role is designed for a strategic operator who excels at the intersection of strategy, execution, communication, and data. The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in translating company strategy into actionable plans, facilitating executive-level decision-making, and ensuring leadership discussions are informed by clear insights and high-quality materials.
Key responsibilities include partnering with the CEO to drive company-wide strategic initiatives from conception through execution, aligning the ELT and broader organization around priorities and outcomes, and proactively identifying risks and dependencies across critical initiatives. The role also involves shaping LaunchDarkly’s operating rhythm, supporting annual and long-range planning cycles, and leading the preparation of executive-level materials such as Board meeting presentations and company communications.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in roles involving strategy, operations, consulting, finance, product operations, or executive advisory work. They should demonstrate success in partnering with executive leaders, possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and have strong analytical capabilities with comfort working with SaaS metrics and executive-level data. The ability to manage multiple high-impact workstreams with sound judgment and prioritization is essential.
The target pay range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area is $240,000 to $330,000, inclusive of a 10% bonus target. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
