The City Operations Manager (German-speaking) at Via is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of on-demand transportation services in the greater Frankfurt area. This role involves managing a team, ensuring service reliability, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance transportation efficiency. The position is based in Frankfurt, with an expectation of on-site presence at least three days per week.
Key responsibilities include managing daily on-site operations to provide safe and reliable transportation, optimizing field team performance through data-driven decisions, and leading AI and automation projects to improve service efficiency. The role also involves making real-time decisions on fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and addressing unexpected issues promptly. Additionally, the City Operations Manager will build strong relationships with drivers, guide their performance, and act as a liaison between Via's partners, drivers, and central teams.
Candidates should have operational experience in people management, logistics, or customer service, with a strong ability to communicate and build trust with various stakeholders. A hands-on and proactive approach is essential, along with proficiency in both German and English at a C1 level. A valid German driver's license (Class B) is required.
The compensation package includes a base salary range of €45,000 to €55,000, determined by the candidate's experience and skills. Additional benefits comprise a company pension scheme with a 20% employer contribution, an Urban Sports Club membership, and 30 days of vacation per year.
