Compliance Auditor

The Compliance Auditor role at Compass involves reviewing and upholding compliance standards as per the California Department of Real Estate, Compass’ Broker of Record, MLS, real estate trade associations, and internal risk management guidelines. This position is part of the Transaction Operations team and is based in San Diego, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence twice per month.

Key responsibilities include conducting routine reviews of open sales, lease, and referral transactions to ensure regular file assessments, collaborating with the Broker of Record and Transaction Coordinators to enhance efficiencies, performing comprehensive random reviews of various transaction files before and after scheduled closings, ensuring that closings meet compliance goals, and processing real estate contracts, disclosures, and advisories accurately and promptly.

Candidates must possess an active California real estate license and have over five years of real estate experience. Proficiency in Real Estate Transaction Coordination, including MLS, contracts, and Google Suite, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a customer service-oriented personality, impeccable attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are also required.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $33.70 to $36.53 per hour, with final offers depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. Additional compensation elements, such as bonuses, commissions, or equity grants, may be available, along with a comprehensive benefits program.
