As a Commercial Manager at AirTrunk's Tokyo headquarters, you will play a pivotal role in negotiating complex contracts and managing all contractual documentation. You will collaborate closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, providing support on commercial and contract issues throughout the entire lifecycle of AirTrunk's data centre developments.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading contract, cost, and claims management strategies for projects in Japan, partnering with the development team to resolve day-to-day matters for ongoing projects. You will proactively onboard new vendors for the Japan region, lead project close-outs, and conduct lessons learned analyses upon project completions. Additionally, you will develop and manage effective processes and procedures, aiming to increase quality, time, and cost efficiencies in the delivery of AirTrunk data centres.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree such as Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering, with a minimum of seven years' experience in the construction industry. A strong understanding of contract management and administration, along with sound knowledge of contract law, is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, contract drafting, and presentation skills are required. Demonstrated success in directing and influencing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes is also important. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to online collaboration tools are necessary. Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English, with attention to detail and high-quality standards, is essential.
