Controllership AI & Automation Transformation Lead

As the Controllership AI & Automation Transformation Lead at Axon, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance the efficiency, quality, and scalability of controllership processes through targeted AI, analytics, and automation projects. This role involves close collaboration with Accounting, IT/Engineering, and Internal Audit teams to deliver measurable improvements in financial operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include defining the AI transformation roadmap for controllership, identifying and prioritizing high-value automation opportunities across various processes such as Accounting Operations, Tax, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, Revenue Accounting, and New Product Introduction. You will also be responsible for defining project scopes, requirements, and success metrics, building ROI cases, and partnering with Finance Systems, IT, and Engineering to deliver solutions using automation, analytics, and AI/LLM-enabled tools.

The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience delivering measurable business results through data analytics, automation, and/or process transformation in Finance, Accounting, RevOps, or related functions. Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience with business intelligence tools like Alteryx and Power Query are essential. Familiarity with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT, and a solid understanding of data governance and accounting processes are also required.
