Talkdesk is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its expanding legal team in London. This role is integral to providing legal guidance across various facets of the company's international operations, with a primary emphasis on licensing and purchasing contracts. The position reports to the VP Legal, International, based in the UK, and may require occasional travel.

The Corporate Counsel will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and channel partners, to negotiate and draft business agreements. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company policies, preparing contract documentation, advising management on contractual rights and obligations, and mitigating risks associated with contractual and channel partner programs. The role also involves balancing competing priorities and exercising sound judgment in seeking executive-level direction when necessary.

Candidates should possess a law degree and be licensed to practice in their home country, with a minimum of three years of in-house experience. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in additional European languages such as French, German, or Italian is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, along with international experience, particularly in the UK and Europe. Knowledge of legal issues affecting software companies, including data privacy, employment, and general corporate matters, is essential.
