The Senior Director, Solutions Engineering - Americas at Talkdesk is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving net-new customer acquisition and annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth across North and Latin America. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Solutions Engineering & Shared Services and collaborates closely with the Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas, as well as teams in Professional Services, Customer Experience, Product Engineering, Marketing, and Partners. The role involves leading a team of Solution Engineering Managers and individual contributors, fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities include partnering with the SVP of Sales to develop and execute a cohesive technical sales strategy, acting as the executive technical sponsor for strategic deals, and ensuring alignment with market trends to maintain leadership in various customer segments. The Senior Director will mentor and develop Solution Engineering Managers, oversee talent strategy and resource allocation across the Americas, and define regional pre-sales KPIs and methodologies to enhance win rates and shorten sales cycles. Additionally, the role involves serving as a critical feedback loop between field teams and product management to influence the product roadmap based on market requirements.

Candidates should have 10–15+ years of experience leading enterprise pre-sales or solution engineering organizations within a high-growth SaaS environment, with at least 5+ years managing frontline Solution Engineering Managers. A deep understanding of the Contact Center (CCaaS), Customer Service Software, or Customer Experience (CX) space is essential, with knowledge of AI, Workforce Engagement Management (WEM), and Business Intelligence being highly preferred. Proven success in supporting complex, multi-million dollar enterprise sales cycles and achieving regional ARR and net-new growth targets is required. Exceptional consulting skills, executive presence, and the ability to navigate high-stakes situations are crucial. Experience managing or expanding pre-sales operations across both North and Latin America is advantageous.

The compensation package includes an on-target earnings (OTE) range of $250,000 to $376,000, with potential for long-term incentives such as equity and short-term incentives like bonuses or commissions.
