Data Analyst, Financial Crimes & Identity
Chime is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Financial Crimes & Identity team. In this role, you will lead efforts to enhance identity verification, customer onboarding, and lifecycle risk management by leveraging data to inform decision-making and control performance. As a Senior Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include analyzing and monitoring financial crimes and identity risk metrics across onboarding and lifecycle controls. You will identify trends and emerging typologies to inform strategy improvements and lead the development and optimization of risk strategies related to KYC, identity verification, and customer segmentation. Collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams will be essential to implement and scale decisioning logic and controls. Additionally, you will build dashboards and monitoring frameworks to track performance and support identity verification vendor strategies through performance analysis and optimization.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in analytics, risk, or financial crimes domains such as AML, KYC, identity, or fraud. Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets are essential. Proficiency in developing or optimizing risk strategies, decisioning logic, or rule-based systems is required. Experience analyzing risk metrics, building dashboards using tools like Looker or Tableau, and familiarity with customer onboarding and identity verification concepts are also important. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
The base salary for this position ranges from $109,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for bonuses, competitive equity packages, and comprehensive benefits. Chime offers a hybrid work policy, with four days a week in the office and Fridays from home for those near one of their offices, plus team and company-wide events depending on location.
