The Data Analyst, Operations (IP & Legal Compliance) at Roblox plays a pivotal role within the Trust & Safety Operations team, focusing on safeguarding the community and creators by ensuring robust intellectual property protection and adherence to legal compliance standards. Key responsibilities include analyzing and reporting on Intellectual Property Operations and Legal Compliance workflows, delivering regular KPI reports to senior leadership across Safety, Legal, and Developer Relations. The role involves identifying opportunities through trend and cohort analysis, building business cases, and leading cross-functional initiatives from concept to impact. Collaboration with Data Science, IP Product, Policy, and Operations teams is essential to define and maintain metric definitions, KPI hierarchies, and analytical standards that drive operational excellence. Additionally, the analyst will design, build, and maintain advanced operational reports and dashboards, providing critical insights on IP enforcement and overall compliance health to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Candidates should possess over seven years of experience in quantitative analysis and complex program management. A solid understanding of intellectual property operations, including copyrights, trademarks, and digital rights management, as well as legal compliance processes such as regulatory response SLAs and privacy operations, is required. Technical proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, common table expressions, and window functions, is essential, with working knowledge of Git and Python and/or R being highly desirable. The role demands strong analytical skills, cross-functional leadership abilities, and the capacity to align data strategies with legal, regulatory, and IP business objectives. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline, such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business Analytics, is preferred.
