Product Counsel, Safety

As Product Counsel, Safety at Roblox, you will serve as a key legal advisor to our product, engineering, and operations teams, guiding them through the development lifecycle to ensure the launch of safe and compliant products. This role is integral to our mission of connecting a billion people with optimism and civility, by fostering a secure and engaging platform for our global community.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations related to online safety and consumer protection. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, marketing, policy, and other legal counsel, to provide strategic legal advice and develop internal policies that promote user safety and regulatory adherence.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably combining law firm and in-house roles within consumer-facing technology companies. A strong background in counseling on online safety and child safety regulations is essential. You should possess excellent business judgment, the ability to manage complex workloads, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal issues. A license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction is required.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $252,210 to $297,550, along with eligibility for equity compensation and comprehensive benefits. The role is based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA, with mandatory in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and optional presence on Monday and Friday.
