Principal Strategic Partnerships Counsel
As Roblox's Principal Strategic Partnerships Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's business development and partnerships teams. This position is based at our San Mateo, CA headquarters, with in-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday and optional remote work on Monday and Friday. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Product & Partnerships Counsel, you will be instrumental in shaping and managing strategic partnerships that align with Roblox's mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility.
In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating strategic partnership agreements, guiding discussions with partners, and advising on related legal matters. Your expertise will be crucial in developing a comprehensive, long-term approach to our relationships with key partners and the commercial aspects of our products and programs. Additionally, you will provide commercial transaction support for other departments as needed and address legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise in existing commercial relationships.
The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience as a lawyer, including substantial experience supporting business development teams and strategic partnerships. A background in the entertainment or platform industry is highly desirable. You should possess strong skills in commercial contracting and negotiation, with the ability to oversee strategic deal terms across partners. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with the ability to work autonomously within tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment. A license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction is required.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $341,110 to $380,040 USD.
