Desktop Support Technician II - Second Shift
Echodyne is seeking a Desktop Support Technician II to join its dynamic team in the Greater Seattle Area. This role involves deploying, maintaining, and monitoring end-user workstations and software within a fast-paced startup environment focused on developing next-generation radar systems. The position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and operates during the second shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
Key responsibilities include providing first-level support through the Echodyne Help Desk, building and configuring employee laptops and workstations, and performing software and hardware installations and upgrades. The technician will also develop and conduct training sessions for system users, troubleshoot systems and networks to identify and resolve issues, and create and maintain knowledge base articles for internal and end-user reference.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to assist a diverse range of end-users via email, phone, and in-person interactions. A working knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems (Windows 10 and 11), Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and core Microsoft systems and services such as Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, TCP/IP, file shares, and print services is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to learn and support new systems and applications, are also required.
