Developer Experience Engineer

The Developer Experience Engineer at xAI plays a pivotal role in bridging core engineering efforts with the broader developer community. Key responsibilities include contributing to and maintaining open-source SDKs and repositories, writing comprehensive documentation, and creating practical examples and tutorials. The engineer will engage directly with the developer community through platforms like X, Discord, and GitHub to gather feedback and implement improvements. Collaboration with engineering, product, and research teams is essential to identify and address friction points in developer workflows.

Candidates should have a strong background in full-stack development with expertise in TypeScript and experience in DevRel, Developer Advocacy, or similar roles. A proven track record as an open-source maintainer or core contributor is highly valued. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with Next.js/React, building agents in Python, and a background as an indie hacker or solo builder.
