Director, FP&A
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Kapitus will lead the FP&A function, reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance. This role focuses on designing and scaling processes, implementing modern planning tools like Anaplan, and building a high-performing team that operates with public-company rigor in a private-equity-backed environment. Kapitus is a leading provider of small business financing solutions, committed to supporting entrepreneurs with tailored financial products.
Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a small but impactful FP&A team, defining the vision and operating model for FP&A in a "public ready" environment, and promoting a culture of accountability and cross-functional collaboration. The Director will own the financial planning calendar, design and implement scalable FP&A processes, lead the evaluation and implementation of planning tools, and standardize KPIs and reporting packages. Additionally, the role involves overseeing company-wide budgeting and forecasting processes, developing executive-ready reporting for senior leadership and the Board, and leading the creation of robust scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (MBA or advanced finance certification preferred) and 8–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, and/or management consulting, with a substantial portion in financial services. Experience in building or transforming FP&A capabilities at a high-growth and/or public company is essential, including ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes. Hands-on experience with modern planning tools, preferably Anaplan, and expertise in financial modeling and analytical skills are required. Strong leadership skills with a successful track record of building and developing high-performing FP&A teams are also necessary.
Kapitus offers a competitive base salary range of $121,700–$195,300, with annual incentive compensation eligibility up to 15%. Additional perks include paid time off, sick time, and transit reimbursement for work-related travel.
