Director, Product Management - Next Gen Platform
As Director of Product Management for our Next Gen Platform, you will lead and execute the product vision for our next-generation issuance and processing platform, focusing on modernization, service abstraction, scalability, and more, while supporting the growth of our new and existing customers. You will lead a team across core components of our platform, including issuing, fulfillment, processing, ledger, tokenization, and customer onboarding and enablement. This role bridges strategy, delivery, and operational excellence to ensure we continuously deliver customer value and exceptional platform performance.
Key responsibilities include shaping the strategic direction of Marqeta’s core platform and production support experience, directly influencing how over $300 billion in annual total processing volume flows through our systems. You will champion a product vision that unlocks platform scalability, operational excellence, and long-term customer trust across our ecosystem. Additionally, you will drive alignment between customer needs, operational realities, and long-term product investments, ensuring Marqeta is positioned to lead in a dynamic payments landscape.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of product management leadership experience, with a background in payments, fintech, or SaaS platforms. A proven track record of setting vision and strategy for a portfolio of products and translating it into a roadmap with rigorous end-to-end execution is essential. High emotional intelligence and leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and growing diverse, high-performing teams, are also required. Exceptional communication skills, deep understanding of the payment industry ecosystem, and technical acumen with familiarity across APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems are critical for success in this role.
Marqeta offers a competitive compensation package, with base salary ranges varying by location: National: $198,100 - $247,600; Premium: $214,400 - $268,000; Premium Plus: $233,000 - $291,300.
