Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships
As Marqeta's Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will lead a team dedicated to developing innovative financial products for our Global Strategic Partners. Our team collaborates with leading companies worldwide to provide advanced card issuing and processing solutions that empower customers to manage their finances, build wealth, and achieve economic stability. Marqeta is at the forefront of the payments revolution, guiding businesses in offering embedded financial solutions to enhance customer loyalty and maximize the value of money movement.
In this role, you will oversee key global strategic accounts, working closely with various internal teams to devise strategies that meet quarterly targets, expand existing programs, and launch new initiatives. Your responsibilities include managing existing business relationships, identifying upselling opportunities, and expanding programs into additional markets. You will also develop and execute strategic sales plans, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and foster cross-functional collaboration to align on customer needs and ensure value creation.
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in enterprise technology sales and account management within the payments industry, including at least 5 years of team management experience. You should have a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, selling complex, multi-product technology platform solutions to enterprise customers, and expertise in payments, retail, fintech, and banking. Experience in strategic account planning and execution, as well as delivering year-over-year new bookings and expanding in-year revenue, is essential. While not required, experience with Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solutions is a plus.
This hybrid role requires candidates to be based within 35 miles of our London office, with on-site work expected two days a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
