Director, Supplier and Manufacturing Quality
The Director of Supplier & Manufacturer Quality at Peloton is responsible for leading and executing the global supplier quality strategy across the company's supply base and contract manufacturing partners, with primary operational leadership based in Taiwan. This role ensures that all externally manufactured products and supplied components meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and operational excellence throughout the supply chain. The Director will build strong partnerships with suppliers and contract manufacturers, establish robust quality systems, and lead a high-performing regional quality team to support new product introduction (NPI), sustaining production, and supplier development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing the local supplier and contract manufacturer quality strategy aligned with business objectives, establishing quality governance, metrics, and performance management systems across suppliers and contract manufacturers, and driving risk-based supplier segmentation and oversight models. The Director will also ensure supplier and contract manufacturer compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks, lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance monitoring processes, and oversee supplier audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure robust quality planning during NPI, driving APQP/PPAP (or equivalent) processes at suppliers and contract manufacturers, and ensuring readiness for mass production and smooth product transfer into manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline (Master's preferred) and have over 12 years of progressive experience in quality leadership roles, including supplier and/or contract manufacturer quality management. Experience leading quality operations within Taiwan and broader Asia supply chains is essential, along with demonstrated success managing global suppliers and complex manufacturing networks. Deep knowledge of quality management systems and international standards (ISO, IATF, GMP, etc.), strong experience in supplier audits, qualification, and performance management, and expertise in structured problem-solving and statistical analysis tools are required. Additionally, the candidate should have proven ability to lead and influence across cultures and global teams, strong executive presence, and effective communication skills with senior leadership and external partners.
