Reliability Engineer II
The Reliability Engineer II at Peloton will collaborate with the Hardware Design and Operations teams to lead new product qualification and ongoing reliability testing within a rapidly expanding global fitness enterprise. This role involves spearheading projects, troubleshooting, innovating, and making critical decisions to uphold Peloton's commitment to quality and safety as the company continues to enhance its product offerings. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining test plans for new product development and sustaining engineering activities, encompassing sample size estimation and reliability goals. The engineer will perform product validation and verification using both standard testing equipment and custom-built machinery. Managing relationships with ODM/OEM partners' labs and third-party labs to complete testing tasks utilizing their resources is also essential. Additionally, the role involves designing, building, and automating custom test rigs and fixtures for various exercise equipment, assisting validation leads in delivering regular status updates, and summarizing validation results to estimate field failure rates.
The position requires 1 to 3+ years of relevant experience in systematic product testing, with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred. Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English are necessary, with proficiency in Taiwanese considered advantageous. Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks) and the ability to read and create mechanical drawings are required. Skills in statistical analysis (Python, R, Minitab) and automation (LabVIEW or PLC programming) are highly desirable. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and PLM systems like Windchill is beneficial. Six Sigma certification and National Instruments LabVIEW certification (CLAD, CLD, CLA) are preferred.
