X Payments, a division of xAI, is seeking a Dispute Analyst to join our Risk Operations team in Bastrop, TX. xAI is dedicated to creating AI systems that accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. As a Dispute Analyst, you will investigate and resolve customer disputes across P2P, debit/credit card, and ACH channels. Your responsibilities include assessing claims, managing provisional credits, and ensuring compliance with Regulation E, NACHA, and network rules. This role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with Fraud, Compliance, and Customer Support teams to deliver timely, fair resolutions while minimizing business risk.

Key responsibilities include investigating incoming customer disputes, validating chargeback rights, managing provisional credits, maintaining accurate case documentation, collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex cases, responding to representments and pre-arbitration decisions, monitoring dispute aging to meet deadlines, communicating resolution outcomes to customers, identifying dispute trends for process improvements, and supporting audits and quality assurance reviews.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience handling disputes involving debit or credit card transactions, with strong knowledge of Regulation E, NACHA rules, and card network chargeback guidelines. Experience managing consumer disputes across multiple payment types is essential. Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and familiarity with dispute systems and CRM tools are required. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as ETA CPP or CFE.
