As a Disputes Analyst at Marqeta, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of cardholder disputes and chargebacks. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with network regulations and delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our dispute resolution processes.

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include analyzing incoming disputes, submitting chargebacks to relevant networks, and handling escalated issues from various sources. You will supervise the resolution of inquiries and problems raised by offshore team members, ensuring all tasks are completed within established service level agreements. Additionally, you will coordinate with issuing bank partners to maintain compliance with their requirements for monitoring, reporting, and dispute resolution.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in financial services or the payments industry, with at least 2 years focused on dispute processing on either the issuing or acquiring side. A strong understanding of card network regulations related to chargeback processing is essential. Working knowledge of EU regulations, data privacy, and other regulatory requirements for dispute management is also required. The ability to work independently with high-volume caseloads while maintaining high-quality standards is crucial.
