As a DSP Engineer at Axon, you will be instrumental in advancing technology for drone detection and localization through RF spectrum analysis. This role involves designing and implementing sophisticated signal processing algorithms to enhance security and safety in a rapidly evolving field. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, expanding your technical expertise and contributing to systems with tangible societal impact.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing advanced analysis and feature extraction from RF signals using Software Defined Radio frameworks and other state-of-the-art tools. You will develop and optimize real-time signal-processing algorithms in C++ and CUDA to detect, classify, and locate drones within RF spectrum data, ensuring scalability and performance in real-world applications. Additionally, you will work closely with hardware, software, and data fusion teams to integrate DSP components seamlessly into larger systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with over three years of relevant experience. Robust expertise in digital signal processing, including modulation methods, frequency analysis, and digital filters, is essential. Proficiency in C++ and Python, experience in developing real-time systems, and solid knowledge of wireless communication systems such as LTE PHY, IEEE802.11 (Wi-Fi), and IEEE802.15.4 are also required.

This position is based in Kassel and follows a hybrid schedule, with in-person collaboration from Tuesday through Friday and the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays.
