As an AI Expert specializing in Economics at xAI, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to develop AI systems that accurately understand the universe and assist humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our technical team to enhance the capabilities of our AI technologies by providing high-quality input and labels using specialized software. Your responsibilities will include refining annotation tools, selecting complex problems from advanced economics domains—such as macroeconomic forecasting, microeconomic incentives, and behavioral experiments—and supporting the training of new AI tasks. This dynamic position requires adaptability and the ability to interpret and execute tasks based on evolving instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must possess a PhD in Economics or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in both informal and professional English. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with strong reading comprehension and the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment when presented with limited data. A passion for technological advancements and innovation in economics is crucial.
Compensation for U.S.-based candidates ranges from $45 to $100 per hour, depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
