Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at xAI, you will lead the design, evaluation, and optimization of electrical systems powering our advanced facilities. Collaborating onsite with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure our power distribution and backup systems are reliable, safe, and scalable. This role is integral to advancing xAI's mission of accelerating human scientific discovery through AI.

Your key responsibilities will include leading design meetings for electrical systems in new data center builds and expansions, conducting feasibility studies, and developing detailed specifications for system components. You will oversee the design and construction process, manage the installation of critical infrastructure, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Additionally, you will develop maintenance schedules, troubleshoot power issues, and implement strategies for energy efficiency and cost reduction.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility preferred. A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in data center operations or electrical engineering is required. Strong knowledge of data center electrical systems, proficiency with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SKM, and demonstrated experience in project management for large-scale data center projects are essential.
