Electronics Sourcing Engineer
Axon is seeking an Electronics Sourcing Engineer to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will be instrumental in building a world-class electronics supplier network to ensure continuity of supply, cost reduction, and risk mitigation. You will collaborate closely with design engineering and product teams throughout the product development lifecycle to optimize commodities and suppliers.
Your primary responsibilities will include proactively communicating with design engineering and product teams to understand current and future component needs, working with Electronics Category Managers on sourcing decisions, and establishing strong relationships with manufacturers to support future product development. You will also lead the RFX process with the electronics supply base to establish component costing, own quarterly material spend reporting, and assist in developing and executing commodity strategies that emphasize cost optimization, time to market, technology, quality, and supply continuity.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in supply chain, technical sourcing, or engineering. Proven success in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, expertise in should-cost modeling and pricing negotiations, and experience in a new product introduction (NPI) sourcing environment are essential. Familiarity with the electronics supply base and experience in a high mix/low volume procurement environment are also required.
