Engineering Manager, Postman AI

Postman is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Postman AI team, focusing on integrating AI capabilities into Postman's API development platform. This role involves managing the development of AI-driven features such as Agent Mode and AI Engineer, which enhance developer workflows and automate tasks across API surfaces. The position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee the engineering roadmap for Agent Mode and AI Engineer, ensuring alignment with product objectives and facilitating daily operations. Your responsibilities include making architectural decisions, maintaining code quality, and collaborating with product, design, and go-to-market teams to define AI-native API development for enterprise clients. Additionally, you will engage directly with customers and field teams to gather feedback and inform engineering priorities.

Ideal candidates should have over seven years of backend engineering experience with a strong architectural background, including at least one year in a leadership role with direct individual contributor reports. Hands-on coding is essential to stay abreast of AI-native product development. Experience with agentic architectures, large language model tools, and observability platforms is advantageous.
