Engineering Program Manager II, Devices Sustaining
Axon is seeking an Engineering Program Manager II to join our Connected Devices team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to enhance and sustain our flagship products, focusing on design improvements driven by yield enhancements, product performance, second sourcing, and cost savings. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to Axon's mission of protecting life and capturing truth by delivering cutting-edge technology to law enforcement and the communities they serve.
As an Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for creating, tracking, and owning program budgets and schedules to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs. You will drive projects from early concept phases through launch, serving as a key stakeholder in all decisions. Collaboration with diverse technical teams—including electrical design, mechanical design, industrial design, software, firmware, quality, validation, and manufacturing—is essential. Building relationships and influencing teams across the organization will be crucial to ensuring seamless development at every stage.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in program management within hardware development, along with a strong understanding of basic engineering principles. A bachelor's degree in a technical field, business, or equivalent work experience is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to analyze complex technical issues, and a problem-solving mindset are essential. The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment is also crucial.
