Enterprise Architect Director
The Enterprise Architect Director at Celonis is a senior leadership role responsible for growing and leading a team of Enterprise Architects. This position requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise, people management experience, and executive presence. The director will act as an executive sponsor, confidently presenting to customer C-level executives and helping the team translate strategic goals into actionable technical plans.
Key responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of Enterprise Architects who define the overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for the company's largest client accounts. The director will engage in pre-sales and post-sales phases, presenting strategic visions to C-level executives and collaborating with customer architecture and security teams. Additionally, the role involves guiding the team to design architectures that drive enterprise modernization, leveraging capability mapping, and exploring innovative solutions using emergent technologies like Agentic AI.
The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of relevant experience, including a proven track record of managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at a top consulting firm or software vendor. They should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a history of navigating complex negotiations and presenting to C-level executives. A strong background in data architecture, system integrations, data operations, automation capabilities, and proficiency in data-related languages such as SQL and Python is essential. A Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required, and fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or Italian are advantageous.
Celonis offers a competitive base salary range of $195,000 to $265,000 USD for this role, based on a full-time schedule in New York. The total compensation package includes base salary, bonus/commission, equity, and benefits such as health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
